The Elcothon is a collaboration between Elco and the "Personal assistants" community which is the biggest community in Israel with more than 3,000 professionals and thought leaders in the field of PA and Voice.
Golan Telecom was the pioneer of the telecom revolution and now one of the leading carriers in Israel. You can create new innovative customer support bot or new personal assistant which advise you what smartphone you should buy. Of course, you can be creative and develop new services or voice apps for the retail world.
We build and manage buildings all over Israel and we are sure we can use advance AI tech in order to make this whole process safe and easy. You can develop a smart new way to collect data from buildings or upgrade the building management platform. Imagine you could open a ticket to your landlord via Amazon Alexa and just tell her what is not working.
Voice alone is not always enough - our Personal assistant needs some physical body. Guy Bertental from Microsoft will bring cool dev kits which will allow you to develop your idea on a real hardware. Guy will give a workshop about the Azure IoT solutions and will demonstrate how you can create smart devices using Microsoft tools.
Guy Bertental is a Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft. Guy has many years of experience with all the Azure capabilities and AI cognitive solutions. Moreover, Guy is a IoT master who can build amazing devices which will be smart and yet simple to use. Last but not least, Guy has a strong understanding in the fields of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning and he will be able to help the team in any aspect in those subjects.

This session will give you an high level review of how to build a new skill and use different AWS services that can help you develop and run your skill in minutes. We will cover AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3 and other tools and services that will help you run your skills at scale.
Boaz Ziniman is a Technical Evangelist at Amazon Web Services. He helps to increase awareness of AWS cloud services and works with AWS customers, to bring the benefits and enjoy the advantage the cloud can deliver, to their applications and systems. Boaz has many years of experience with web development & operations, architecture, IT management and cloud computing. Prior to joining AWS, Boaz worked with a variety of leading Israeli startups, managing development and operations teams, and leading cloud adoption and partnerships with major cloud vendors.
David Keller from Prime will be joining the Elcothon as a mentor and will be helping you with product and mechanical design during the whole hackathon so you'll be able to pack your arduinos and raspberry Pi's beautifully. David Keller will help you to design the best products in the world.
David is planning to bring a few 3D printers and help you to make great looking physical mockups and they would love to know how many of you are planning to work on physical stuff in order to prepare ourselves. You find more details in the Facebook event.
